CA Pallavi Jha
CA Pallavi Jha is the Co-Founder of the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs of Emerging India (CWEEI) and a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience across finance, entrepreneurship, start-up mentoring, financial capability, institutional leadership, education and policy-linked initiatives.
At CWEEI, she brings a strong financial and enterprise-development perspective to the organisation's mission of advancing women's entrepreneurship, financial inclusion and economic participation. Her focus is on strengthening pathways through which women can become financially informed, enterprise-ready and capable of building formalised and sustainable businesses.
Pallavi believes that sustainable entrepreneurship requires more than access to capital. Women also need the ability to understand money, manage resources, evaluate risk, formalise enterprises, access finance responsibly and make informed business decisions.
Professional and Institutional Journey
Pallavi qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 2015.
Her professional experience spans audit, taxation, compliance, financial advisory, institutional consulting and business management. She is a Partner at VMR and Company, where she leads the firm's Bihar operations and is involved in business development, professional networking, client engagement and branch management.
Earlier in her career, she worked with SRBC & Associates LLP, an associate of EY, on taxation, social-security compliance and advisory assignments. She also gained experience in statutory bank audits, accounting and taxation during her association with HNM and Associates.
Pallavi also served as the Chairperson of the Patna Branch of CIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), representing more than 1,500 members, and became the youngest Chairperson elected to lead the branch.
This combination of professional practice and institutional leadership has given her a strong understanding of the financial, structural and organisational requirements of sustainable enterprises.
Entrepreneurship and Mentorship
Pallavi has been actively involved in the entrepreneurship ecosystem through mentoring and institutional engagement.
She is a Charter Member of TiE Patna Chapter and has been associated with its flagship Nurture Programme, supporting entrepreneurs at different stages of their journey.
She has also been an empanelled mentor with CIMP-BIIF, working with start-ups on areas including:
- Business incubation
- Enterprise planning
- Financial understanding
- Funding readiness
- Business growth
- Compliance awareness
- Sustainability
- Exit strategies
Her experience with entrepreneurs has reinforced her belief that funding must be supported by the capability to understand, manage and grow a business responsibly.
Financial Capability and Enterprise Readiness
A central area of Pallavi's work and interest is financial capability.
She believes financial literacy should move beyond basic awareness and enable women to confidently apply financial knowledge in everyday business decisions.
This includes understanding:
- Business costs and pricing
- Cash-flow management
- Financial records
- Borrowing and repayment
- Formal banking and financial systems
- Funding options
- Business documentation
- Compliance requirements
- Financial planning
- Sustainable growth
Her approach can be summarised through a simple enterprise pathway:
Understand → Formalise → Finance → Manage → Grow
This reflects the progression from basic financial and business understanding to formalisation, responsible access to finance, effective management and sustainable enterprise growth.
Education and Financial Awareness
In 2019, Pallavi co-founded Vidyashray, formerly known as Commerce Insights, with the objective of strengthening financial understanding among students and young professionals.
She has conducted technical and entrepreneurship-related sessions at institutions including IIT Patna, NIT Patna, CIMP and Patna Women's College.
Her contribution to education also includes appointments to the Boards of Studies of Amity University and Xavier's University, where she has contributed towards commerce curriculum development.
Through CWEEI, she seeks to help translate professional financial knowledge into simple, practical and accessible understanding that women from different educational and economic backgrounds can apply to their enterprises.
Policy and Development-Sector Experience
Pallavi's professional journey also includes experience supporting government and development-sector initiatives.
As a Subject Matter Expert with IPE Global Limited, she assisted the Government of Bihar in policy formulation and implementation across different departments.
She has also served as a Team Leader on a UNICEF-led project in Bihar.
These assignments have given her exposure to institutional programmes, policy implementation and development-sector initiatives, complementing her work in finance, education and entrepreneurship.
Role and Vision at CWEEI
Pallavi's association with CWEEI closely aligns with her experience in finance, entrepreneurship, mentoring and institutional development.
She believes that women should have access not only to opportunities and finance, but also to the knowledge and capability required to use them effectively.
Through CWEEI, she seeks to contribute towards strengthening access to:
Financial Knowledge | Enterprise Skills | Formalisation Support | Mentorship | Finance | Markets | Professional Networks | Institutions
Her contribution supports CWEEI's broader objective of helping women move from livelihood and entrepreneurial aspiration towards enterprise ownership, financial independence and sustainable growth.
She envisions an ecosystem in which women can move from:
- Financial awareness to financial confidence
- Livelihood to enterprise
- Informal activity to formalised business
- Credit need to financial readiness
- Enterprise creation to sustainable growth
A central part of this vision is making financial knowledge simple, practical and relevant to the realities of women entrepreneurs.

Women do not only need access to finance. They need the financial capability to use it, manage it and turn it into sustainable enterprise.

Our Team
Aarohinis – Our Ground-Level Changemakers
At CWEEI, we believe that meaningful change begins at the grassroots. Our Aarohinis are the dedicated ground-level workers who connect our programmes and initiatives with communities. Working closely with people at the local level, they help us understand community needs, build trust, spread awareness, and support the implementation of our work.
Aarohinis are an important link between CWEEI and the communities we serve. Through their regular engagement, they encourage participation, facilitate access to information and opportunities, and contribute to creating stronger, more aware, and empowered communities.
Their commitment, empathy, and understanding of local realities make them an essential part of the CWEEI team.
Meet Sangeeta Rajendra Kamble – An Aarohini with CWEEI
Sangeeta is one of the Aarohinis working with CWEEI. As a ground-level team member, she works directly with communities and plays an important role in taking CWEEI's initiatives to the people.
Through her day-to-day engagement, Sangeeta supports community members, listens to their concerns, helps connect them with relevant programmes and resources, and encourages them to participate in activities that can contribute to their development.
Her work reflects the spirit of an Aarohini — being present in the community, listening with empathy, building relationships, and helping turn opportunities into meaningful action.
At CWEEI, Aarohinis like Sangeeta are not just team members; they are the people who carry our work to the ground and help us build lasting connections with the communities we work with.
